The tutoring and the English language in the academic education of the business management technologist

The present work aims to detail the observations made during a year of tutoring of English, with a class of technological degree at Fatec in Presidente Prudente. With the work done in partnership with the teacher of the observed class, a group of them attended the tutoring and had significant improvement on performance evaluation. These students have influenced the frequency in tutoring of others in the same class, and other classes and courses, improving the amount of students goers. After the first semester, several students who have attendance in tutoring, quit attending, however, maintained the performance’s level of the second semester’s test. There was fear these students create some degree of dependence of the tutoring and after the observed period, it was concluded that those who attended tutoring managed to autonomy in English language study and they were included between students with good or great performance.
