Abstract

In this article, reflections on experiences in the Teaching of Italian as a Foreign Language to adult students are presented, from classes taught in the first year of Celem of Ceebja Teacher Joaquina Mattos Branco, located in Cascavel-PR. Contact with students and reading of researchers such as Mezzadri (2003), Saporiti and Reši (2007), Marangon (2008), Cernigliaro (2010), Novaski and Werner (2011), among others, demonstrated the importance of developing classes which cover the four language skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading of the language under study. Thus, it is reflected on the importance of preparing classes with a focus on carrying out activities of an epilinguistic nature, with an emphasis on culture. For that, it is suggested the use of several discursive genres (formal and informal), so that students get involved in oral-dialogued contexts and carry out written productions, which can motivate the comprehension of Italian culture and language.
