Digital narratives: using active methodologies and creative learning in portuguese teaching and programming logic for higher technical teaching

Abstract

In this article we report an interdisciplinary experience developed with the students of the Faculty of Technology Mayor Hirant Sanazar (Fatec Osasco), in the subjects Portuguese Language and Logic of Programming. The experience aimed to develop systematic reasoning and collaborative work, skills and abilities for personal, academic and professional communication. Dramatized readings, interpretation, discussion and writing of texts were performed, using the descriptive, narrative and expository typologies, which were coded in Digital Narratives, using the Scratch software, based on creative learning (Creative Learning) developed at the Lifelong Kindergarten Group of MIT Media Lab. At the end of the project, we obtained, as a result, a strong acceptance of the applied teaching methodology, evolution in terms of student participation and interest in understanding new concepts. The narratives created were presented at Fatec Expo Week.
