Abstract

This article aims to present a Portuguese course experience promoted for foreigners during the period of greater social distancing imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Portuguese Language and Brazilian Culture Course offered by Centro Paula Souza for Chilean students at DUOC_UC Chile, brings in its conception the idea of testing possibilities of the so-called Internationalization at Home with language
learning with the sociocultural dimension in its discursive component as a starting point. Allied to proposals of intercultural activities that would propitiate this objective. We
believe that even in the post-pandemic period, this first experience of the institution can serve as a basis for future projects in the area.
