The present article explores the use of active methodologies in teaching English, focusing on the tools Lyrics Training, Mentimeter, and Padlet. Throughout the text, these tools are analyzed in terms of functionalities, benefits, and applicability in the educational context. The comparative analysis between the tools emphasizes their advantages and limitations, highlighting the importance of selecting and integrating the tools according to pedagogical objectives and student needs. Although they present challenges, such as the need to develop digital skills and ensure equitable access, active tools offer promising future opportunities to enhance English language teaching, hence the justification for the choice of the topic at hand. Ultimately, it can be affirmed that the use of these resources can enrich students' learning experience, preparing them for an increasingly globalized and digitized world.
