Abstract

his research investigated the impact of assistive technology on English language teaching for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With the advancement of educational technologies, there is a need to assess how these tools can enhance learning and inclusion for these students in the school environment. The main objective was to analyze how assistive technologies influence the development of linguistic skills in autistic children. To achieve this, a bibliographic review methodology was adopted, involving a systematic analysis of the existing literature on the use of assistive technologies in the education of students with ASD. The results revealed that technologies such as educational apps, augmentative communication software, and mobile devices help to personalize and enrich the learning experience, promoting significant improvements in students' communication and academic performance. The conclusion emphasizes that, although assistive technologies offer great benefits, it is crucial to continue exploring and refining these tools to ensure their ongoing and comprehensive effectiveness. The research underscores the importance of strategically integrating adaptive technologies to support the educational development of children with ASD.
