Abstract: The aim of this paper is to develop and present teaching material for English for Specific Purposes (ESP), aimed at students of a Systems Analysis and Development Technology degree course in a public institution in the state of Sao Paulo. Based on a literature review of the principles of ESP and needs analysis, the study emphasizes the importance of adapting English language teaching to the specific demands of academic and professional contexts. The proposed material seeks to promote the development of skills in reading and interpreting technical texts in English, with a focus on specific terminology of the Information Technology area. The content was developed using authentic text and didactic adaptation according to learners' needs, as recommended by authors such as Hutchinson and Waters (1987), Dudley-Evans and St. John (1998) and Ramos (2005, 2019). The proposal aims to contribute to pedagogical practice in the teaching of ESP, highlighting the role of the teacher as a developer of resources appropriate to the target situations in which students will use the language.
