Aircraft Maintenance manuals are daily used by mechanics, pilots and other professionals of aviation area. Most of these manuals are written in English. Each aircraft manufacturer has its own standard, but there is an orientation document to write these manuals. Considering that there are researches about aircraft maintenance errors and the relation with documents interpretation problems, it is necessary to pay special attention to these documents. Thus, this article shows the results obtained with an under graduation research in which two maintenance manuals of wide-body aircrafts from different manufacturers were analyzed considering the most recurrent linguistics structures and layout aspects, based on the guiding document to write manuals and other studies in this area.
