Development of a bilingual glossary (English-Portuguese) with technical terms related to helicopters

When working in a sector that uses a foreign language in its routine, knowledge of jargon and technical terms is necessary. This happens in specific areas, such as aviation and, more specifically, aircraft maintenance. However, the number of researches about terms used in specific areas is scarce, such as the vocabulary related to the helicopter, which can hinder the work of professionals who are not proficient in English. Thus, the purpose of this article is to present the results of an under graduation research which resulted in the development of a glossary using technical terms from helicopter operation and maintenance manuals, besides other materials of the area.
